Happy Mother’s Day!

Last Thursday I went on a Photowalk with some of the other members of my camera club at Central Park in San Mateo, CA. Our intent was to take portraits outside in natural sunlight. It was a good time and I’m happy with the shots I got during the outing. We ended up in the rose garden when at the end of the walk and I found it impossible not to take some shots of some of the roses. One of them is the subject of today’s post. It’s a beautiful yellow rose that I shot with a long lens to bokeh the background. As I processed the images from the walk I felt that this one would make an excellent subject for Mother’s Day and so here it is. I’ll also plan to post some on Etsy and FAA as greeting cards soon.

Exposure: 1/800 at f/4.5, ISO 100 – smc Pentax DA* 50-135mm F2.8 [ED] at 108mm

You can view the rest of the images from the photowalk here.
