I shot an annual San Francisco event on Easter Sunday. BYOBW or Bring your own Big Wheel. For those of you not familiar with a Big Wheel, you can read more about it here. San Francisco has many such wonderful (and sometimes wilder) events, and this event was certainly no exception. The basic premise is to find a big wheel, or a trike with plastic wheels, and ride down a twisty, windy, San Francisco Hill. Plastic wheels on asphalt & concrete don’t have a lot of friction, thus you sometimes (often) don’t really have any control of the trike. The first image is a great example…

Also, as you can see this was a green event, there were even people “surfing” on recycle bins. Wow, having run and saving the planet at the same time!

Finally, it was good to see that the King of Pop felt the event was important enough to come out and enjoy a few runs down the hill.

All in all, a good time was had by all. I certainly enjoyed shooting the event and I hope you get to experience it too someday.
