Vegas – Day 1
I’m visiting Las Vegas for a combination vacation and conference attendance. I’ve been here a little over 24 hours and it has given me a chance to relax a little and to start to see some of the strip. After resting for a bit yesterday, I got out to take a few pictures. I was at the front of the Luxor hotel, it has an Egyptian theme and is located at one end of the strip. The hotel has several signature features first, a giant sphinx in the front, next a huge pyramid shaped hotel made of glass, and lastly, a giant beam of light that shoots out of the top of the pyramid at night. The beam consists of 45 xenon bulbs and is bright enough that you can read a newspaper by it’s light at 11 miles in space. Here are a few of my shots from my first day here.
