San Francisco Botanical Garden – Part 3 – Macro!

Well, I spent a lot of time trying to take pictures of the tiny flowers and buds along the way, switching between my 50-135mm and fixed 50mm lenses. Lots of shooting at f/1.8, f/2.8 and even some f/3.5 and f/4.5. Then I got the wonderful idea of really getting close with the reverse macro ring on my 50mm! Well, that really changed things quite a bit and it made for an excellent afternoon. I really enjoyed the macro images, it opened up a whole new world within the garden. I simply can’t wait to get back there and shoot more. At the rate it took to shoot the few subjects of the day, it might take me a year to get through the whole garden. What a wonderful place, I hope you enjoy these images as much as I do.
